Center researchers show link between severe gastrointestinal problems & repetitive behaviors

Autistic children who have severe gastrointestinal problems such as constipation, food limits and bloating tend to have more repetitive behaviors than individuals without digestive issues. The study, published in the journal Autism, was conducted by Center for Autism investigators - Drs. Payal Chakraborty, Kimberly Carpenter, Samantha Major, Megan Deaver, Saritha Vermeer, Brianna Herold, Lauren Franz, Jill Howard, and Geraldine Dawson.
