Transgender and Gender Diverse Sports Participation: Leveling the Playing Field

There are National and International calls to "level the playing field" of sports so that cis gender girls and women can compete in sports fairly and without harm. What would truly "leveling the playing field" look like? Is having transitioned genders a meaningful biomarker? How do we measure athletic ability within genders, across genders and with gender diversity? Are there Title IX implications?
