Jane Gagliardi, MD, MHS
Undergraduate Medical Education Dr. Jane Gagliardi is a physician in internal medicine and psychiatry whose clinical work currently includes patient care in the psychiatry emergency departments at Duke University Hospital and the combined medicine-psychiatry and general medical services at Duke University Hospital. On faculty at Duke since 2003, she has served in educational leadership at the level of undergraduate medical education (UME), graduate medical education (GME), and continuing medical education (CME). Since 2023 she serves as the Associate Dean for Learning Environment and Well-Being for the School of Medicine. In this role, she leads the Office of Le Well, working to provide and create centralized services to support SOM students and others involved in the healthcare learning environment under the guiding principle that all SOM students should have equitable and just access to services provided by individuals who are not in a position to evaluate them and regardless of program, advisor, connections or identity.
